
Meet The Team
Dr. Mark Watson, DPT, GCS
Mark graduated from Messiah College in 2008 with a bachelor's in health and exercise science. He then earned a Doctorate degree in physical therapy from Sacred Heart University in 2011.
Mark started his career working at Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital in Hummelstown, PA. After four years Mark began working in home health - a branch of physical therapy where services are rendered to individuals within their home.
In 2022 Mark achieved recognition through the Americal Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist- a certification held by relatively few physical therapists, and designates a higher level of competency working with this diverse population.
Mark has three daughters - making him a proud "girl dad." He grew up in a small town in upstate New York (Richfield Springs, population: 1,200, public school: 40 students in a graduating class). He has been married to his wife, Bonnie since 2012 and is convinced she is the best wife ever! Interests include: fishing, woodworking, food and documentaries. Mark attends church at West Shore Evangelical Free in Mechanicsburg PA.


Kari Smith, PTA
Kari is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with a diverse clinical background, including experience in both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient settings. She is passionate about helping individuals recover from developmental, systemic, and traumatic conditions that affect the neuromuscular system, as well as orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries. Kari is committed to customizing her care to each patient's unique needs. Her early career in inpatient rehab ignited a deep passion for supporting patients through recovery after extended hospital stays. With a compassionate approach, she works to help her patients regain independence and rebuild confidence in their daily lives.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Pennsylvania State University–Mont Alto, Kari has continued to expand her education in Vestibular Dysfunction, Fall Prevention, and Stroke Rehabilitation. She also holds certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and from the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer. Her skillset includes specialized training in functional mobility, with a particular focus on spinal cord and neurological injuries.
Outside of her work, Kari lives in Mechanicsburg with her husband and three children. Her interests include fitness, hiking, kayaking, and beach trips. She values connection and wellness, striving to stay active and present in her family’s life, whether she’s enjoying the outdoors or supporting her children’s activities, making the most of each moment together.
Ellie San, OTR/L
Ellie San earned her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2023 from Messiah University. She has two years of experience working in acute care, where she supported patients during critical stages of recovery with skill and compassion.
Ellie is passionate about helping individuals achieve greater independence and confidence in their daily lives through a client-centered and compassionate approach to therapy. She enjoys creating meaningful, personalized treatment plans that meet each client where they are and support them in reaching their unique goals. She values building strong, encouraging relationships with her clients and considers it a privilege to walk alongside them in their journey toward growth and recovery.
Outside of work, Ellie loves running, spending time with her husband and their one-year-old daughter, and being part of West Shore Free Church.


Bonnie Watson, MSW, LSW
Bonnie graduated from Cedarville University in 2009 with a degree in applied psychology. She obtained her Master of Social Work from Temple University in 2011.
Bonnie gathered a variety of clinical experience working with children in foster care and performing outpatient counseling and psychological evaluations at a private practice. Bonnie also spent time as a Program Development Specialist for the University of Pittsburgh Child Welfare Resource Center which works to facilitate Pennsylvania's compliance to federal regulations regarding child welfare.
Bonnie is a mother to three girls and has focused her time and energy over the past five years on nurturing and caring for them at home. In her free time she enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors, reading, and home decorating/improvement. She also enjoys eating good food, traveling, and is involved in various activities at her family's local church.
